What are they and do they work? Today I will tell you a little bit about the top 2 treatments that are most popular right now.
Microneedling
This is a procedure whereby tiny needles prick the skin and these wounds cause the skin to regenerate and heal itself. I love this treatment – only because I have done it and continue to have it done every 4 – 6 weeks. I found that it has made my skin texture better, smoother and my pores are more refined. The process is not painful because the dermatologist will apply a layer of numbing cream to your skin before they begin. There is about a day or 2 of downtime after having the treatment so make sure you don’t have plans LOL! The face is very red immediately after treatment and feels like really bad sunburn. For me, its totally worth it and I will definitely recommend it to people who want skin refinement, evening out of skin tone, fine lines treatment and to smooth out the skin.
Dermaplaning
This specialised facial is where the beauty technician uses a high speed rotating brush like tool to intensely exfoliate the skin. This procedure gets rid of so much excess dirt and oil and is like a deep cleansing procedure. It also removes that peach fuzz hair from the skin so this is something that would be great to have done before a special occasion or photoshoot. My only concern with this procedure is that the facial hair may grow back prickly.
