I love to follow the big makeup trends set on runways all over the world. This season we have seen some major trend setting makeup styles that hit the runways. We are seeing some really creative looks from the runways this season. These looks can easily be replicated and translated to more toned down versions.

Spa Skin

One of the major spring makeup trends 2018 has got to be spa skin. ‘Spa’ skin is natural, dewy, fresh and healthy looking skin, it is also known as ‘no makeup makeup’. The look calls for well moisturised skin with a touch of smoothing, light foundation which leaves a natural glow. Highlighter is key for this particular look, most importantly it adds the radiant glow that is required to achieve the look, as a result well placed and blended highlighter will perfect this look. Add a light brow and maybe a touch of mascara to complete the look.

Wing it – Like a BOSS

My favourite spring makeup trend for 2018 is the wing! Not only has the wing taken on a plethora of variations, it has become more versatile and really interesting to look at. A classic wing will always be stunning and striking, but I absolutely love the play on the classic. We have also seen a rounded wing on multiple runways, along with more Cleopatra styled versions.

Unusual Liner

I can’t decide if I prefer the wing or the unusual liner trend. This makeup trend is so striking yet so simple. Totally creative and inspiring makeup looks this season! We have seen graphic and unusually placed eyeliner looks all over the runways this season – definitely a look a try out for yourself! Simple yet very effective, and completely unique and interesting to look at.
